NOAA weather radio (battery or crank operated), spare water, formula, bottles, snacks, thin blankets to lay kids on/keep warm, diapers/wipes, a first aid kit, flashlight, copy of emergency cards for kids, spare cell phone … I have an evac kit too as it was required in AR; lots of states are making them mandatory. I have mine in a backpack that I can just grab and go- Flag

Books, stuffed animals, bike helmets /pots (seriously I saw a show one time where a house was destroyed in a tornado and debris was falling into the basement and the mom put pots over the kids heads to try to protect their heads ) flashlights, maybe a potty chair once you start having potty trained kids, water, blanket to sit on, an old mattress to put on top of all of you incase a tornado hits.- Flag

Weather radio, hand-crank flashlight, battery flashlight, extra batteries, water jugs, juice boxes, crackers, tuna-in-pouch, candy bars (they're MINE, don't touch them:, diapers, wipes, potty chair, memory game + a few small baby/toddler toys, emergency cards with pictures & all parent contacts including work, home, cell, email, etc., old crib mattresses for protection.
Mine's divided into stuff that stays here, and stuff I would take if we had to leave, which is in a backpack ( and includes the candy barswhich I would share if I had to.)
