Hmmm Not sure. Let me ask you guys (Craigslist related).

Got a message from my CL post. Person wants care for their daughter for one month this summer. That's fine.

She asked me to email her my response via her personal email. Red flag, or no?

Spam!! I get those all the time when I post on craigslist. Sorry but I am not taking your 6mo th/3 year/5year old (changes each email) for one month and I am sure as heck not going to respond to an email address that isn't even your name or one that is similar.

I could be spam. I always require a phone interview first and then a face to face interview before I tell anyone yes....................

Stick with that and you will be safe..

Last time I had a hunch that something was spam, it was. Thanks for validating my gut.

They want you to reply so they have your personal email and not the one that craigslist invents for you. That way they can send spam.

If you use the craigslist email it doesn't give out your personal one anymore. On the sending or receiving end, until you personally give it out. However when they ask "reply to this email" and you do then that is how they get your email address. So I don't trust those unless there is a phone number to call

I got a request for one month for a child last summer. The parents are divorced, Dad has primary custody and Mom gets one month a summer.

I had the girl for 6 weeks.

I just literally got an email like this from Craigslist. Probably would have responded if I hadn't read this thread!
