Does Anyone Here Charge More Than $35/Day?

I;m thinking of raising my rates because of certain bills going up like the gas & electric, health insurance, etc. People here pay the $35 so easily and effortlessly (is that even a word?) including the part timers, so I'm thinking I'm on the low end of what people may be charging, so just wondered who is charging the most on here? I was thinking like $2/day more?

I wish I could charge that much!! I charge between $20-$25 per day, depending on FT/PT status. If you think people will pay it, go for it! I'm toying with the idea of raising my rates also.

        I charge $43 per day.... 7:15-4:00

I work only teacher work days.
All school holidays and vacations off unpaid.
I take full time children under kinder only.
If dc kids are absent due to illness, vacation, whatever I get paid.
Parents provide their own child's lunches, snacks.
If I close for any reason I don't get paid.
        No sib discounts.

I decided a couple years back (after I had a following) that I would rather watch a smaller group and get paid more per kid then to take on more and more and more lil dc kids. I love my lil dc kids and I feel like I can give them my very best when I am only watching 3 or 4 at a time.

Average rate for my area is $25-30 per day, with some going as low as 17. When I first started doing child care, $40 per day was the lowest rate around!

I would LOVE to charge more, but just can't do it with so many discount providers around now.

I wish I could...and maybe someday, I'll be able to, when I live near a more upscale area. Right now, it's a struggle to get people for $120/week. Plus, there are people around here advertising at $10/day for full-time child care.
Hee hee! Look, I have a signature!

I'm in an area where there are lots of people advertising for about half of what I charge. I haven't raised my rates and I'm full but if it weren't for having a lot of years under my belt and having all of my kids being either with me from the beginning or as referrels from other families, I may have problems filling my daycare spaces.

I've also found that it helps to have a niche area that helps to set you apart from the providers who can beat you on prices.

$35 is my top rate for part time infants. I wouldn't get any higher than that around here.

I charge 40 per day for part timers and 32 per day per full time (160 per week). I only take preschoolers and there are places around me that range from 20 a day to 40 a day (full time).
