    Instead Of A Preschool "Graduation"...

What do some of you do instead of a preschool graduation? I really am not one who believes in trophys for all, preschool graduations, etc.

I am thinking a little celebration with a photo of them holding something. Maybe a sign with a check mark next to preschool saying Up next: Kindergarten! or something?

I could, obviously, use ideas. I have 3 that will be leaving after this summer for Kinder and I DO run a preschool program. I've never had any make it all the way through. My last 2 that would have ended up being termed right before.

I wouldnt do a graduation for a home program. One small momento is fine. Maybe a framed certificate with a picture of them.

I have a "moving up" party. I found decorations at the dollar store. We have a small party at the end of the day, and I made a certificate (in word, free template) with a .57c photo envelope, on the left is a picture of them when they started, and the right is a recent photo. For this years one dcg, I added a photo of her and her daycare best friend.

Next year I have 1, same party

The following year I have 3!!! Maybe a graduation included in the party.

I have 2 going off to kinder and I'm totally doing a graduation!! Therefore, Im no help.
Im doing it in the evening. I have caps and gowns for them to wear (oriental trading for cheap). They are going to sing two songs then I'll call their full name and they will walk across the "stage" and get their "diploma". Then we will have some cookies and punch.
        Im really excited!

They could hold a photo saying, "Class of 2027" (or whatever it is...too tired for math).

You could try just doing a cook out (end of school year celebration). I put in my policies that I reserve the right to decide not to throw a preschool graduation if enrollment in the preschool or daycare is low (or if the parents of the graduating preschoolers all agree) and opt for a small celebration dinner or cook out/party at my house instead.

Or you could try to just have some cap and gowns anyway and take pictures of them wearing it and do a small dramatic play "ceremony" during daycare but give the pictures to their parents.

That's exactly what I was going to suggest- my cousin's graduation card had a picture of her in front of a background that said "CLass of 2014"- so cute!!!
