What do You Think of This?

I am having trouble with some of the 2 year olds "giving" my 4 month old dcg toys and they throw them in her crib when she's sleeping..usually landing on her face

I am super aware of SIDS and I was wondering if this is enough air flow if I don't drape it along the sides, just the top.

    What do you think?

Honestly, it seems like a huge hazard to me. For one thing, it is only meant for bugs, not toys, so it would give a false sense of security. Secondly, if there was an emergency, it would be hard to get the baby out quickly.

I think maybe a better solution would be to make sure that the kids aren't throwing toys to begin with and make sure the baby is far enough away that the toy couldn't really reach it while you can still see it.

Maybe someone else has some better ideas?

Ihave a net like that.It really wouldn't keep the toys out and could cause a choking hazard. The baby might get the netting and become tangled. My solution was to put the baby in a coral in the pack and play What about on the other side of a gate.Or you could put the toddlers in a play zone. I call it the "clubhouse" and if I need it they play in it.

Nope, it won't work ( tried something similar in 2004)… as was said it might be a hinderance in an emergency

I have tried everything and I have a 2 year old that just loves that baby and keeps wanting to give her toys
she is not unsupervised by any means and I am talking the the time it takes to walk across the room to wipe a nose this 2 year old is throwing toys in the crib

I have to have the baby in the same room, I can't playpen up or confine the toddlers in any way, ( personal rights ) and I won't use a swing even though I am allowed

I have taught her over and over not to throw toys in there when baby is sleeping but she just does it anyways.
          That net just scares me
I don't think I would get it because it can fall on the babies face.
It's not even really an all day problem just when I use the restroom or leave the room for a second
ugh I guess I will keep searching

Could you section off a portion of the room with a superyard:

Might keep the baby out of toy tossing range?

If it's just one child doing it-can she be your shadow whenever you have to leave the room?

I have a no touch baby or baby things rule. I verbally reaffirm this when the baby goes into the pnp. If a 2yo doesn't get it, we do shadowing.

Gate off the baby and make the culprit your shadow.
