    Do you replace damaged property?

I am going to but I was curious if everyone else would.

We had a potty accident this morning and I put up the super yard between it and the play room while I cleaned it up. The ten month old pushed past the gate while I was washing my hands and sat on the floor right after I had bleached it and got bleach on her pants (I was in a hurry and mixed it too strong) so now her brown pants are orange. I will replace them but when things like that happen would you?

Maybe I would in an unusual circumstance, but this sounds like a typical wear and tear at daycare issue and I would not. You gated her away from it, there's not much more you could do outside of hiring an assistant to hold babies when you need to clean up... which would cost the parents FAR more than a new pair of pants

      Yes. I would absolutely replace.

I would also be more careful about something like bleach as we had a daycare here in my community cited because 2 kids got into bleach in a similar manner in which you described and the provider was cited for not properly supervising the children.

I totally understand how it could happen and see how you did take preventative measures but in the eyes of licensing and/or a parent, it may not have been enough. kwim?

NOT trying to give you a hard time...just sharing something similar.

Thank you. And I agree, I do need to be more careful, thankfully this parent is very understanding and I don't think she will be upset.
