I have it and maybe my kids are just to young but all they did was tear all of the pieces off of the table. Everything comes off very easy, I personally wish I would have researched a bit more before I bought it. I have put it away until my kids get a little older.

personally, i prefer the wood ones with the flat top. it allows the kids to design the tracks the way they want and allows for open ended play. i wouldnt want one where they couldnt change things up and be creative, you know? JMO, of course.

I have a wooden one and I attatched the track to the table, what a joke that was, the kids ripped it all off and built their own. So i would recommend something they can build on their own. Otherwise you will be putting it back together all the time

I have the step 2 deluxe canyon train table. It doesn't have the depot that stands on top. I LOVE it. I have had it for almost five years, and besides having to order stickers for the scenery on bottom, it has held up very well. I LOVE that it works with trains AND hot wheels, and that it has a lid. I painted one side of the lid with chalkboard paint and the kids also use it for a drawing table.

That is a great idea! My old playroom had the lower half of the wall in chalkboard paint, but I never thought of doing a table!

my daycare kids would tear that thing apart and then try to sit in it ..LOL

I have a wooden train table - hand made for me for next to nothing.

Well, since it's so cheap I went ahead and ordered it anyhow -even though reviews were mixed. If we don't like it, I can always Craigslist it!
