What Would You Do In This Case?

I have a dcb that started back in July, contracted for 3 days per week. Back in September Mom asked if they would be able to have more days but wasn't sure how many because she was in the process of opening her own salon. I wasn't activiely looking for more kids but did have room so told her it was fine, since then he has been coming 4-5 days per week, there was one week that it was only 3 but she still paid me for 4. I never had her sign a new contract though, STUPID I KNOW. Okay so this week he is here Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and I charge for Thanksgiving..... Dad comes in at pickup and hands me cash, three days worth of cash. I don't know if she just doesn't realize that I charge for Thanksgiving or if she is remembering that she only contracted for three days. She is dropping off tomorrow, I don't know if I should say something or just leave it alone. What do you think.....other than I was stupid to not have her sign a new contract

I'm betting they forgot that you charge for Thanksgiving. My families do that ALL the time. I'm trying to find a new way to enforce it better next year; this year I'm a wimp and have been letting it slide.
Hee hee! Look, I have a signature!

I would say "I'm sure it was just an oversight, but when Dad paid me yesterday he forgot to include payment for Thursday, which is, of course, a paid holiday per our contract." Simple, straight forward and to the point. Hopefully they won't give you any grief over it.

I had a parent short me $30 in a check last week and I had no idea why, they pre-pay so my husband thought it was due to the holidays. That still made no sense since I only charge $24 a day and that still would have still left me $6 short. I just typed up a quick invoice stating the difference and that I was sure it was just an oversight due to the holidays and this busy time of year. Mom was very apoligetic and paid me the difference. She wasn't sure what happened either and thinks she had the amount from another bill stuck in her head. It is funny because even though I knew she owed me the money I was still nervous to ask for it, but I am so glad I did!

Did they normally come on Thursdays? I only charge teh holiday, if it falls on their regular scheduled day. My client who comes only on tues/wed, I would not expect payment for thurs from.
