    Two story home

Does anyone know the specific rules for two story home in California. I have to be on the same level as the kids at all times correct? Even with a video monitor? Does this include my own children? We are moving to a two story home and I would love for my son and baby girl due in sept to be able to nap in their own beds as opposed to a shared daycare room.

I don't know CA rules, but here my own kids can go upstairs without me, but not daycare kids. My son naps in his bed upstairs.

There are some CA providers on here I'm sure they know the rules

In Minnesota your own children have to follow every daycare rule and regulation. We are not even allowed to have their own father take them to an unauthorized area of the house during child care hours, which is a really stupid rule in my eyes. Not sure if that is written in the rules, but that is how it is enforced here.

I'm in CA & from what I have heard, the 2nd story cannot be used for daycare purposes. I would assume your own kids would be ok...BUT I've also learned that it's best to call your specific agency and get clarification on that!
