I Was Asking For No Late Pick-Ups

    I close everyday at 5pm , always have .

I was letting all my dcp know that on Thurs & Fri I have plans and need to leave my home at 5pm , no later . No one can be late picking up .

One dcm says o.k. , well if dcd can't be here by then I will have to figure something out . ,
She can't pick up so it would have to be the dcd . If he can't be here at 5 , what were they going to do . Just leave the kids here.

It almost seemed like they were planning on picking up late on those days without asking me .

I would have come out and asked what mom meant "Sally, I'm not sure what you mean by that? I've always closed at 5:00 and I'm not asking you for early pick up, just on time. That should NEVER be an issue. I know you couldn't possibly mean you *planned* on being late!" The last part I might use a teasing tone - you know the kind that sends the message "don't be an ass dcm"

It's like they think we don't have a life outside of daycare or something. I termed a DCM for picking up later after I texted & asked her to pick up on time because I had a family matter to take care of. If she would have been on time, I would have been able to pick up my son who was returning from a 4 year tour of duty in Japan. Instead, I was an hour late waiting on her.

ps..., She texted me she wasn't paying me crap when she read her notice. The judge told her otherwise. Yes I gave him the text.

Wow. I remember some years back when a couple of my daycare families were late and then told me, "Well if you had let us know you were going somewhere....":confused::confused:

            Yeah. Those days are gone.
