    Have You Ever....

...Moved lunch up just so you can lay then down for nap early? Today was that day for me. New DCB2.5 was a horrible monster & DCG3 had a case of the blues & cried over everything. Another DCG3 was going for the tattle tale queen crown.

Tell me I'm not the only one. What have you done? Misery needs company.

Yep sure do!! I do it at least once a week. Now I don't make everyone go to bed if just one of the kids is very cranky, but I have before. I do it with my own kids as well. Some days they just need more sleep then others.

SURE THING, Monday and Fridays we eat 1/2 hour earlier. I even changed it with the food program just last week. On Monday they are WIPED from busy weekends and no schedule/nap. By Friday they are wiped from a full week of go go go at daycare.

It seems like I do this just about every Monday. Most of the kids are a mess from no naps and routine. Bumping up lunch and nap makes for happier kids on these types of days!

Sometimes there are days when some or all of the children just need extra rest or just an earlier rest. It's good to be flexible as long as it's what the children need KWIM.

Every Single Monday. none of my current parents stick to a schedule on weekends, busy with family and errands. Nap time is needed early, they get up early and we head outside. All parents know this as well

Yep guilty at least once a week! Doesn't seem to have any negative effect and like many have said, sometimes I, oops I mean they need it::

I usually do lunch between 11:30 and 12 depending on what is going on mood wise. If everyone is happy and playing I let it slide later. If it is a crab fest then I move lunch to 11 and down for nap by11:30. That is maybe once a week though, some weeks we don't need to, others it happens multiple times. Just depends on the kids moods!

Yes, did it yesterday in fact! It was a rainy day, the kids were a little wild and cranky so lunch was at 11:00 instead of 11:30. On the flip side when they are all playing great I will delay lunch by 1/2 hour because we are having a great time (usually outside).
