    Parents Coming Back After Hours?

    Soooo...

I started a new client, this is their second day. Grandma was picking up. Showed up 15m late, blocked someone in and took her time (I got child ready to go, after handing her the things to do so).

Fast forward 2 hours, and she knocks on my door. I was working out in our basement and didn't hear it. My kids were downstairs in our family room adjacent playing. 8yo went upstairs to get a drink and yelled down to me that someone was knocking on the door. (we have a doorbell? and she was knocking on the storm door and not the actual door?)

I go upstairs and open it, SHE is annoyed looking. I ask her what she is doing here (and you can bet I looked annoyed, too.) and she says "I need her diapers, wipes, cream AND her sippy. You didn't give them to me." and I responded "Well that's because I BOUGHT the diapers, wipes, cream AND her sippy. You need to call her MOM because I am CLOSED." She started to argue ....and I shut the door.

I doubt they will be back.

Nope, never had that happen. Rude, rude, rude. I could see maybe calling or texting to ask if they could get something they forgot. But just showing up like that AND acting annoyed, too.....no way. You are very nice to buy those things for the child, too, btw.

Let's start wagers on whether they show up again in the morning. I bet they do.

Oh oh oh let's. I bet they show up for drop off and don't even mention it. No apology or anything.

Oh or even more likely they will blame you for not supplying her with what she needed to care for her child.

I bet parents ditched child with Grandma for the evening with no supplies and told Grandma baby's things were at daycare and Grandma decided to come on by. Completely rude.

I agree with the top half. Pretend it didn't happen!

                  So rude.

Can I ask why you even pay for those things?

Are you going to be out the money for those items if they don't come back.

I think your DCP are offically more crazy than mine.

Wow! Grandma is off her rocker! Lol!
I'm betting on....showing up in the morning, and them playing the denial card.

I bet Grandma just had no clue. I wonder if she will even mention it to Mom ...

I bet Grandma was left without diapers or a cup, etc and called mom and mom said to get the stuff from you
