    Can I.....

Can I advertise my Daycare as Daycare with preschool curriculum? Or do I have to have any special license to do this or just a regular family day home license?

In PA no one ever said not to, so I advertise for presch and my licensor just said they are like dcks but just pt. If that's how she feels then great. I have a bachelor's degree in CD and ECE but I don't advertise as a licensed preschool. I am a licensed daycare.

As far as I know, there is no legal definition of a preschool, and you don't need to be a certified teacher through DPI to call yourself one. I don't if there is any state that has an exception to that.

If you teach preschool in a school system (K3 or K4), THEN you need teacher's certificate or teaching license to be a lead teacher.

Our church has a daycare and a preschool. The daycare is licensed but I don't believe they had to do anything additional to have the preschool part. We are in Ohio.
