Sorry to hear that. I think that's a bad way for the director to communicate to you. She should have had a face to face conversation with you and told you everything, such as why you aren't allowed to work, who's involved, are you being terminated or just on a suspension while investigating, etc.
In the meantime, keep looking for other positions and document everything you can. Good luck! Aside from a child getting seriously hurt, this is the scariest part of daycare.

Don't be "run off" from a job you love because one dcm has her panties in a wad! Stick to your guns! Kill her with kindness and smiles!

I'm guessing it was a state report. as i was informed through text that they "arent at liberty to speak with me" and my check will be mailed to me. i'm calling out state office right now

Um they text you that you're fired? Basically?

Is that even LEGAL to do it that way? don't you need to sign exit papers? what state are you in? You may end up with a labor and employment case if they didn't even give you any single piece of paper saying you were fired, rather just wussed out and texted you not to come back and you'd get your check. Ridiculous!

Furthermore, you have every LEGAL right to know what you are being accused of, even if you aren't allowed to know by who. You can't address it if it's a big secret, and your reputation is on the line. You have rights, so I'd look them up and find out what they are.

If you were fired, see if you qualify for unemployment benefits.
