Wow! Now, I've Seen it All!

It is a no school day here and I have 4 SA kindergarten kids. (2 girls and 3 boys) All have been here since they were way young. Anyways, one of the SA girls goes over to a SA boy, puts one hands on either side of his face, pulls him close and kisses him FULL on the mouth!!!! I've seen soap opera kisses that weren't that direct and full of intent! I didn't even know what to say?!?!? I mean we have a rule about keeping our hands to ourselves and blah bah blah, but I have NEVER in 17 yrs had a kid do that!! Makes me wonder what type of games these kids play on the playground at recess these days!!!

WOW what did you say? What can you say . I think it would take me a few mins to get a grip and be able to say something.

I didn't know what to say either! I just said, "Lilly! That is NOT okay!" and now here I am posting because I really don't know what I should do next. What part of this is my job and what is the parents job? I know I can tell dcg that those types of touches are not okay at daycare and tell mom, but how far does my explanation go? Her mom should be talking to her, but of course, this is also a mom who allows her child to idolize Miley Cyrus (NOT the Hannah Montana image) at 5 yrs old (new 5 too!) She can show you dance moves even Brittany ****** would blush doing!! She allows her to wear eye shadow and dress kind of inappropriate so I know the whole parent support will probably not happen.

If she has no censorship at home, you need to do it, sadly. School would never allow it and she knows it I am sure. My K DS knows it, he told me so himself. LOL

I would tell mom that you can't have her kissing in your care, and that is that. I would too talk to the little girl about it, privately.

Yeh, I've seen some kisses that have made me blush too. I tell the children that we kiss moms and dads and we can give hugs to our friends. eek!

I wouldn't want anyone to kiss their moms and dads the way it sounds like she did though!

Ok, now you've got me curious - how did the object of her affections react? This is a new one to me, so no advice here

The little boy's parents should be told too. So when he talks about it, they will know the straight story from you.

He didn't really have time to react because I caught her in the act. He did just sort of smile though. Not sure if it was because he was okay with it or if it was because she was in trouble and not him!?!? And no, no one kisses their parents the way she was kissing him! It's been a while since I kissed my own DH that way! LOL!! Although, DH would just sort of smile like dcb did too!! I did ask the dcg why she did that and what kind of game they were playing and she said they weren't playing a game, she just likes him and now he is her boyfriend! This is exactly why I try really hard to not take SA's. The 4 I have though have siblings here and that is the only reason they are here. I will STRONGLY encourage their parents to put their SA kids in summer camp for summer though...I can barely handle the school vacations as it is!

...true. But, if they try to kiss mom or dad that way then mom or dad are the ones that can have that discussion! ::
