    O. M. G. NO THEY DIDN'T...... (Not Daycare Related)

leave their baby in their locked car with the windows up while they went into Subway to eat dinner. Yes, yes they did that. So what did I do upon seeing this little girl, probably 1yr old or less, sitting strapped into her car seat wide awake and confused, while her parents were in a restaurant??

Well, after my heart-bleeding panic attack lifted, you're damn right, I called the police. Took a few minutes for them to arrive. Just as the people were pulling out of the parking lot with me right behind them and the dispatcher on the phone, the policeman pulled in. I had to give the dispatcher every turn we made, and she in turn guided the policeman to find my vehicle. So the policeman had to catch up to us on the highway, hook around me, and pull them over at a gas station. I felt so angry and vindicated at the same time when he whizzed by me and flipped on the blues.

I have ZERO tolerance for people like this. They are total idiots who will be lucky if they leave that gas station parking lot still in possession of their child. I hope that sub sandwich was worth it.

And now I need an alcoholic beverage. Or 8.

People can be so selfish!!! Why do they even want children if all they can think about are themselves?!

        good for you!

It makes you wonder what people are even thinking. How selfish! Can you imagine being a baby and being strapped into an empty car? Thats awful. And probably not the first time. Just bring the kid in with you! sheeesh. If you cant handle getting a sandwich with your own child in tow, what can you handle? I would bet that police pull-over resulted in a call to CPS too because that is absolutely neglect and the policeman is a mandated reporter. Hopefully scared the **** out of these people and got them in check!

The thing is, it was a couple. 2 people. One of them could've stayed in the car with the baby while the other went in to get food. I'm hoping they didn't actually sit down to eat before coming out, but I don't know. I just know how long it took for someone to appear after we noticed the baby. She could've been alone way longer.
