    No Power

So my power went out. It's been out for an hour now. I called parents for pick up but one parent isn't coming until she finishes up work stuff.

How much of an emergency should I consider this? Should I call her back ups or just wait?

I'm guessing that the power will be back on soon anyway but I am annoyed a pick up is taking so long...

I guess it would depend on your regs. If any of my utilities go out for any reason all children must be picked up immediately... so I take that as just below "emergency level" if that makes sense.

I'd call dcm and tell her to send one of her back-ups and if they don't show up within x amount of time you'll have to start calling her emergency contacts.

I understand there are people who have jobs where they can't drop everything and run (like us), but why they don't think to find someone else to pick up is beyond me. It irks me because it's kind of disrespectful.
