    Karma's a real B-word!

So I had a dcb that had fever and pukey last Wednesday when he woke up so dcm kept him and sister home. The next day she was sending him somewhere else but wanted to take sister here....I went with my cautious gut and said no, she needed to go with brother because I didn't want to get everyone sick right before Easter. Well because I did that she missed out on the preschool Easter party and my party as well. I was being selfish and didn't want to spend my 4 day weekend sick in case she caught it from being around brother all day....

Fast forward to yesterday, I had an extra 2 yr old girl here due to her provider being on maternity leave. While she was here, she had a BLOW OUT! Poop was everywhere (I was quickly reminded why I only allow potty trained kiddos now). Well this morning her mom texted saying she was keeping her home because she woke up vomiting

And to top all this off, the same dcb that was sick last week is now laid up on my couch saying his belly hurts  no fever and won't eat or drink anything! UGH karma ****s!!!

I feel like since I didn't let her come last week, that we ended up with the pukey germs anyway from the extra girl we had yesterday. I hope that's not the case, it's just a crappy coincidence.

I think it's just the way the cookie crumbles. Viruses are spread via public places, the same people all frequent the same places so the drop-in girl was just sick. How could you or anyone know? I don't think this is Karma, just a reminder that no matter how much we exclude, kids still get sick and will bring it to daycare.
