Closing Sale... Update on Wreck

Hi Everyone

So since the wreck in October, I am still not getting around very well! for those who don't know, I broke both my legs and had 3 surgeries- not doing very well. I am also finishing my Child Life degree... and hubby is starting full time work.. So we have decided to close our doors, so I can focus on my degree and he can work full time.

If anyone happens to be in the area of North Texas- here is our Flyer for our closing sale.

Does anyone have any advice on a closing sale? We have loads of stuff. Looking for advice as far as pricing etc...

One of the DCP's in my town retired a couple of years ago. One of the things that she did at her sale, I felt was quite smart.

For her BIG ticket items (Little Tykes castle, climbers, etc.) she did silent auctions with a minimum bids. This might mot work in a big city, but in our small town it did. Lots of families and DCPs bidding. And, since everyone kept coming back to check their bids, a lot of us would up buying other smaller items each trip.

I sent the poster of your flyer to a friend that lives in Dallas. She is part of many day care provider networks so maybe will get it out there for you. Do you belong to any associations? Our Childcare Council will email sale info to other members for us.
