Closed on our house on Friday (closed) and open for business Monday (yesterday)! I wish I would have used more of my vacation time! Moving things from the garage to inside and unpacking with kids is so difficult! I think the 4 hours of sleep a night is getting to me!

Congrads! I know how difficult moving is and having kids around makes it harder. We did the same thing about 3 years ago when we first moved in here. We moved on Saturday and spent all of Sunday putting together the main living area and daycare areas to be ready for work Monday. Its hard but you can do it! Enjoy your new home!

I did the same thing a few weeks ago. Worked till 3:30 on Friday and started moving and then opened up again on Monday morning at 7:15! I learned my lesson. Thankfully, I will never be moving again!

Thank you! It is a great feeling! We finally have a fenced in back yard! We had lunch outside on the picnic table today, it was a little chilly but they were to happy to care.

Hopefully this weekend I will get to paint the basement daycare space! Do they make kids safe wall paint? I was thinking about painting their hand for a hand print on the wall with their name above it.

Maybe instead of painting them directly on the wall, you can use acrylics on some small boards and hang those? You can paint the back of the boards either the same color as the wall, or a complementary one.

I had planned to do the handprints too when we finished our basement for dedicated daycare space. I ended up deciding against it since I didn't want to have to keep up that tradition as I had kids come and go.

I've seen some cute handprint flowers though and thought about doing that again - without their names, so I wouldn't feel obligated to continue doing it.

Congrats on your new home!!! I closed for 2 days (Th & Fri) so had a 4 day weekend when we moved and opening up that Monday was crazy enough!!! Can't even imagine it with just the weekend!!
