    War of the Babies

I have two DCFs who are expecting. I will have one infant spot available at the end of the year due to a DCC aging up.

I am not too concerned it is what it is. Though both want the spot. First to sign the contract and comes up with registration and holding fees will get it. I am just tickled because I can see The War of the Babies in my near future I’ll prepare myself to lose a toddler.

I feel empathy towards the provider who get either set of DCPs. They are both boundary pushers. I just happen to be a net.

Same thing happened to me this time last year - except, I ended up taking both babies (6 weeks apart and I was within regs due to the ages of my other DCK's) and man was that a struggle for the first few months! Just as I started thinking I'll never take an infant again, one of my best families goes and gets fertility treatments and will hopefully find out they're expecting this week.

I love infants. Even so, I’ve been saying my two infants now will be my last. Toddlers are just so much easier as far as being able to travel and schedules. Then two of my DCFs announce they are expecting. I am laughing about it. I would love to type tough. At the end of the day I know I am going to say, “Yes” to one of them.
