LOVE!!!!!!!! We bought clear thick plastic sheets last year to put under the car wash (kid sprinkler) to prevent mud, but the kids ended up loving it because they could slide on it! FUN!

cute idea, but I can see my DH complaining about it killing the grass - he complains about the slip n' slide my own kids use all the time. Seems even when its only down for a few hours it does damage the lawn.

I've just gotten used to the idea that our yard is kid-friendly, not necessarily pretty. Fortunately DH can care less.

Any damage I've ever seen is just temporary

We can't use anything like that as it will have standing water-big no no

I was questioned what my sand box was used for when it was empty by liscensing-I answered sand. Why doesn't it have any in it-because I haven't got any yet.

They thought I might be using it as a wading pool!

As long as you hung it to dry or put it away right after you were done playing, I don't think it would count as standing water. My licenser said the standing water reg is mainly to prevent Mosquitos from breeding/west nile virus.

We have a big pool, a medium pool and two small pools but I still want to do this one! It will be great for easy water time!

No offense here because I had the same response from my dad when we wanted to put up a slip and slide at his house but I had to ask him why he bought a house with a yard that had grass. He responded with that he wanted us (my sister and I) to have a place fibrin and play on. I asked him "and now that we're all grown up?" And he said that he wanted our kids to he able to use it too. Then I just did the long stare and he thought about it and felt goofy and let us put the slip and slide out. What good is a lawn if you can't play or put a slip and slide on it .. I mean, isn't that what grass was invented for ::

We have artificial turf in our backyard and I'm thinking this is an ingenious idea! I will just hang it up to dry when the kids are finished using it!

We are not allowed anything that would have standing water during water play like this. Nothing that may pool water (even like a slip n slide).

We are allowed water tables but I even went as far as having permisision slips for water play. My liscensor thought that was a great idea (I was the first I guess in my area to do it) even though its just for water tables.

I forwarded the link to my home visitor and she says she doesn't consider it standing water. I'm glad to hear it because it looks like something my crew will love!
