Who else gets Potpourri

The latest issue (volume 40 issue 4-april 2014) has potty training under childhood challenges.

Some of their tips make me want to bash my head into the wall.

"Consider using incentives, like stickers or stars"
"Set the kitchen timer for every 15-30 minutes"

Ugh...why????

Several months ago I received a pamphlet from my CCR&R Agency about potty training and they specifically said NOT to time potty use as it was counterproductive and could lead to resistance:confused:

Although I have used timed visits with kids I knew were ready and just needed a gentle push

Don't they know that if you make them go into the bathroom every 30 minutes,
they won't have to go until they come back out and start playing again?
