    Oh My Gosh...Here We Go!

My hubby offered his two weeks notice, but due to the nature of his job, they declined it and sent him home. We are officially a group daycare! I just need 4 more kids.

I need your absolute best marketing and advertising tips please and thank you!!

Congrats! This would be great for my dh & I as well but he's self-employed and in Ca we have all sorts of hoops to jump through to be a large daycare.

I would maybe start with a "Summer is almost here" kinda flyer and let people you know (via Facebook, poster, email, etc) you have 4 openings first and offer a sign on bonus or referral credit kind of deal. $50 Visa GC for a full-time reg referral , $50 off a current client's bill, etc. but after the first month so you know it's not just a jumper. I'm not sure if you take school-agers but that could be a way to take flyers to schools close by. Maybe you get a sibling set or something? CL is pretty popular here, Moms groups online, etc. I would push by word of mouth first, then push for other forms of advertising if you need.

Any ads you can place in your local library children's room? Do they allow ads in pedi offices? Never hurts to ask. Laundromat? Mention it to anyone who talks children anywhere anytime. One day one of the bank tellers asked me if I had openings, have no idea how she knew I had a daycare. If you're due to go to the dentist anytime soon, check with them.
Are there local parades where people or organizations make floats? If people place ads in newspapers, CL, etc., make sure your ad is a little bit unique. One of the very few times I ever placed an ad in the paper was when I first started out(like 30 yrs. ago) and I noticed all the daycare ads were pretty generic and said the same things. I made mine a little different and did well that way.

Yay!!! I love to heat about other husband-wife teams!! It's been awesome for us, it will be for you too!

Offer a "free week" of care after being enrolled for 60 days to new clients. Ofter existing clients a free.week for referrals if they people they refer stay 60 days.
            $$$ talks!

Wow! I plan to go that route some day. Congrats!
Don't know if this is allowed, but maybe staple gun some flyers on telephone polls, or trees, (something) around your local schools?
Also found a web site called magnetsonthecheap.com You can design the magnets yourself, and place them on your vehicle to advertise.
