We've done scavenger hunts before but this one is really cute and totally appropriate for my area as the first sign of grass is absolute euphoria!!

My guys have been doing some physics...
They love taking the small plastic animals, placing them on the ball and dropping to see the animal fly off. (on the patio so the surface is good)
Well, we were in the backyard on Friday and I have some large balls that are about 1/3 deflated from the winter, I keep them because they are fun to sit on kick etc. Well, one of my little girls took 1/2 of an Easter egg (year round I have Easter eggs in my yard) and placed it on the ball, then smacked both sides. She made the egg fly! That was it! They were dong that for about an hour!!
I love it when they discover something on their own!

We made the worm jars this morning! The kids checked on them all morning to make sure they were digging down ! Once the reproduce we are going to move them to our empty aquarium.

I'm so bummed. It's too dry here for worms. We went out looking for them after a rainfall lastweek but had no luck. Im Going to post on FB to see if anyone has any to share with us. I'd like each child to have their own jar of works here so here's to hoping. Otherwise I'll have to order some through the mail.

We walked to our local grocers and bought a dozen. We could have probably dug some up but, I took the easy way out.

Oh, wow! We have a lot of ponds, lakes and rivers here. So I assume that is why our grocer and hardware store carry them!

As soon as the ground thaws enough here, I'll have to do the worm jar, they'd like that!
