Do you have parents sign a waiver for photos for your website?

I wanted to create either a webpage or a facebook page for my preschool & childcare. I'd like to include some pictures of current and past DCKs doing activities.

Do I need a photo waiver for parents? Do you just ask or tell them verbally you are going to use the pictures?
What do I do about DCKs that don't come anymore? Try to contact them for a waiver?
What if those past DCKs were termed by me and getting a waiver is unlikely?

    What do you do?

I have every family sign a waiver after their trial period. I only post pictures of current children and never use their names when posting pics on our website. Our are for video, pictures, website and picture text.

If a child graduates out of my program, I will leave the pics up. Otherwise I take them down.

If a parent does not want me to post pics of their children, then I just blurr them out or edit them in some way to cover up the childs face.

I have a waiver for photos, sound clips and video to use in advertising. This way I can use the image or whatever for whatever I wanted. Not everyone signs it which is ok, I just don't use those children.

I have a waiver for my Facebook page and just having the pictures. I didn't have one until recently and had everyone sign them that was here and any newbies.

This. I am not taking down or altering photos of kids who have left that I used in advertising materials....way too complicated.

If a parent signs permission for me to use their child's image, it's permission to use it for as long as I need to not just while their child is in care.

However, if a parent didn't agree with that, I would just not use their child's pictures for anything.

Yes, exactly. Mine says that the photos are mine and can't be revoked and the form never expires.

Mine is like this also. Or they can choose not to have any photos of their child taken except for instances where an injury needs documented. I also have them initial which things they are approving, facebook...local ads...flyers etc.

Definitely have them sign a waiver and be specific as to what you will use them for. But also check with licensing (if you are licensed). I am not able to use pictures of kids publicly for any reason, even with a signed waiver. Not on my website, advertising or facebook. Nothing that shows their faces
