Organizing Lessons.....

Hello Ladies & Gents (),

Can anyone give an idea, sample, view, etc.... Of how they organize their lessons, themes, etc?

I have tons for different lessons on computer and now I'm trying to place everything in folders. I have folders for Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall, and all the months. Lol!

I have to see everything in order or I will lose focus and get an attitude when I can't find something .... So I'm just trying to figure out what to put in what months etc.
Ex. do you have a certain number, shape, color, for a certain month? I have all the numbers, letters, shapes, holiday stuff, bugs, transportation, animals, ocean, etc. So what months should these things be sorted under ? :confused:

Honestly I think you can organize the themes in whatever months seem to work for you. Me personally, I have 2-3 letters, color, number, shape and character trait for each months. During the months we also touch on insects, transportation, community helpers and much more. I'm not licensed yet so I don't know how effective my method works for 8 kids but I have kids of my own and work with my 4yr old using this method. Also once you decide how you want to organize it you may simplify it by having a tote for that month or a season with whatever lessons,books, activities,puzzles you wish to use. Just store it and pull out the next one when needed. Hopefully that was a little helpful for you. I'm sure the other ladies may have far better ideas on regards to this.

Thank you,this is helpful I wasn't sure if I should do it like (January, letter a,b,c and numbers 1,2,3, shape square) you know that type of thing . Just not in a specific order. I taught my daughter her alphabet out of order.
