      I wouldn't worry about it at all. Everyone vents about their kids, the school, the daycare, expenses, etc. It's nothing personal for her to be talking about the expense to a coworker.

        I wouldn't let it bother me. Unless they were directing it at you or your daycare specifically, they are just venting. Everything about having a child is expensive.
        I used to be a kindergarten teacher. I make as much watching 6 kids as I did teaching 30 or more kids. However, I don't have benefits with this job. It's not as easy to take a day off or call in a sub. I don't get summer vacation or spring break. I don't really get sick leave. I don't have a custodian to clean up our mess. I don't have a nurse to deal with illnesses and ouchies. I don't have a principal or school district to back up my policies. I could go on and on. Both jobs are hard. Both should make millions a year.
