Tomorrow Is My First Day, And I'm Freaking Out!!!!

I feel so unprepared after feeling really prepared. The interview to enrollment process didn't take as long as expected. Had the interview last Thursday, and the mom needs care tomorrow.

She's bringing in the signed contract and forms tomorrow.

I'm sitting here realizing that I don't even have receipts to give. I just typed out my assistant/provider contract, and now have no clue how to keep track of the payments I give to my assistant (sister). Help me!

    Relax!

I am kinda low tech. I only give receipts if the parent pays in cash unless they request them. Until you get a receipt book, you can print them out on the internet. Just Google 'blank receipts to print out."

When I had some part time help, I just marked what I paid her on my calendar. However, she was very part time help and only counted as 'casual labor' for tax purposes.

Everything will probably be more than fine.

I would get a small personal calendar and mark down what kids and what times, when your asst is there and all their finances as you go. Just buy a duplicate receipt book at an office supply store and give the families one and you keep one. It really helps me stay on top of money coming in and out. I also have my phone calendar as a means of keeping a current and future schedule.

I have a Redleaf Calendar that helps me out bunches with keeping track of income and various expenses.

You’ll be just fine. Remember to BREATHE!

                  Wal Mart sells receipt books.

You can also track each client with an excel spreadsheet. I give my parents a copy of mine for taxes too. It's not required, but they love it.

Well, the parent wasn't done getting the medical forms done, so I don't start until next week.

I don't know if I'm disappointed or relieved. Lol

My state requires medical records immediately.

Minute Menu Kids is what i use for invoicing clients and it automatically keeps track of everything. I LOVE it. You might look into it. http://www.minutemenu.com/web/mmkids.html

In my state care can NOT be provided unless ALL forms are filled out BEFORE care.

                              We have NO grace period.
