    Need Help Or Suggestions

    I have an 11 mo old in care. He has been sleeping in a pack and play at nap. He can climb out of it. He is not walking yet but he is an escape artist. He is very tall for his age. I am thinking a reg crib but I think he could climb over it too. His mom suggested a sleep bag but I don't think that will work either as his arms are free and he can move his legs freely in the bag. He pulls himself with his arms and pushes with his feet. Also he is no where ready to sleep on a mat like the older children. I am at a loss. Any suggestions?

    Licensing for me states that once they can climb out, they have to go to a cot/mat for safety reasons... Is DCB on one nap? Or does he take two still?

      Would you be willing to put him on a mat, sit next to him & keep him on it until he falls asleep?

      Have you told him about the monster that eats children who climb out of their beds. I'm kidding!!! That's only at home

        Here, per licensing, children have to be 12 mo. to be in anything other than a crib/pnp. Someone once had a suggestion on here of something they did to prevent a child from doing this, but I can't remember for the life of me what it was.

        I like the monster idea..::j/k

          Just started doing 1 nap a day. I have tried the mat and sitting next to him but he will not go to sleep with you sitting there and you would have to hold him on the mat otherwise he is up and gone. If you hold him on the mat he will scream which we can't do anyhow and I would not do that anyway.Also if he crys entire nap no one else gets to sleep.

            I always heard about putting them in footy pajamas, backwards with the feet cut out and then the legs of the pajamas sewn together. Then they can't get their legs over the rail but still have plenty of movement and can't unzip the pajamas. I've never done it though.
