    Bleach Help

I know the ratio for bleach is 1:10...but that doesn't tell me how much to use.
I need to make 2 spray bottles a day. I really dont want to make a huge batch of bleach water just to dump down the drain at the end of the day. My spray bottles go up to 26oz...
I just had a health inspection and she said the bleach was good enough for the diaper changing table but too strong to spray on anything that will go in a mouth...she also didn't help when i asked how much bleach to use.

Sooo...how much bleach do I need to put in 26oz or less of water?? I'm so lost!

Reduce the water to 16 oz or one pint and use one teaspoon. Just because the bottle holds 26 oz does not mean you need to make that much and won't go through that much in a day.
    I see little people.

Be sure to pay attention to the concentration of the bleach you use. It is not as easy as it once was.

I have switched to Clorox Anywhere or Q-128 (depending on surface) for that reason.

I am required by the state to mix two, and they give us formulas for doing so (well, until May when it's only EPA approved disinfectant)
        Blood/bodily fluid- 1tbsp bleach/32oz water (so 1/2tbsp/16oz water)
        Food contact-1/2 tsp/32oz water (so 1/4tsp/16oz water)

these measurements are for unconcentrated bleach. For the concentrated bleach (8.25%) here are the measurements:

As a disinfectant (diaper areas and hard surfaces):
1 gallon (16 cups) water to 1 tablespoon bleach
1 quart (4 cups) water to 3/4 teaspoon bleach

As a sanitizer (mouthed toys and food contact surfaces):
1 gallon water to 1/2 teaspoon bleach
1 quart water to 1/8 teaspoon bleach

I make a 16 oz bottle each morning and split it between two rooms for sanitizing with 1/16 teaspoon bleach. Then I make a separate bottle for diaper changing with 4 cups water and 3/4 teaspoon bleach and just pour the rest in the bathroom sink to sanitize before all the kids arrive for the day.

Can't find the link to the poster resource and referral gave me when the unconcentrated bleach became hard to find.

Thanks! I definitely have the concentrated kind!
