When I already have a contracted time in my policies , my clients have been still dropping off up to 1 1/2 hrs late and pick up 1 1/2 hrs early and disturb nap time etc. I have a client who is contracted for later p/u time and never picks up at that time but has it scheduled late " just in case". its really getting to me!! How do I remind them nicely? Seriously I only have ONE parent respecting these policies!!
Help With Drop Off And Pick Up Time

You must follow your contact/policy if you expect others too. I would just tell them "Unfortunately the contract/policy says bla bla bla. We need to start adhering to it. Wavering from it is disruptive to our program & the group as a whole. I'm sure you can understand." Smile & say no more. Less is always best.
ps..., If you don't allow pickup/drop off at nap time, tell them. No one can take advantage of you without your permission.- Flag

I would LOVE it is some of the children were here 3 hours less per day! But, I would never allow them to disturb naptime. While it would be against the law to completely prohibit it here I do tell them they can pick up BEFORE nap begins or AFTER it is over and ask which one they would prefer.- Flag

Set a cut off for drop off. Mine is 9am. After that is REALLY disrupts the group when they walk in during circle, or craft time, or outdoor play, etc.
I would also adjust the schedule of the Mom regularly picking up early. Sounds like she put a later pickup to avoid a late fee. "Sue since you are regularly picking up at 5 I went ahead and adjusted your contracted hours to reflect what you're actual hours are. Here is a new contract for you to sign."- Flag
