I have an older child here who is 5 and about to start Kinder. I have had DCK here for 2 years for the most part (with a brief break) and it has always been part-time.
Recently, the child has begun randomly crying saying, "Mommy. Mommy." Or, sometimes it is Daddy. But, it is always random and it is always disruptive to the other children. I give a hug and had been letting them know that they can sit and read a book until they are ready to re-join an activity or they can color a picture. However, nothing changed as far as frequency goes.
So, I started saying, "You are with me right now. I love you, you are safe, and we have fun here. You will see Mommy soon!
" in a cheerful, sing-songy voice.
However, nothing changed.
Any tips?
 I have only had newbies do this and it was always very short lived as they ARE safe here, they KNOW I care about them, and we DO have fun.
