I had a family (SAHM) go from FT/5 days to 3. She wanted to chose her days, and I said NO. M/W/F ONLY. She wrote my check today for next week.....for 3 days (135)+ additional day at the 5 day daily rate (35). I was soooo confused and asked for clarification. As soon as she said it, I started laughing. You didn't pay for that day, so it's drop in. 135+50=185. After huffing over the price, she wanted to rewrite the check, and then I had to tell her that I filled the space and she couldn't come. (so I now have her M/W/F @ 135 and a Tue/Th @ 100) She should have kept him FT (175!). 
The kicker? she then asked if I would take him 'under the table' for more money. Go over ratio? oh h**** no!
PT dcg is scheduled on a day off, Mom asked if she could not pay, since she wasn't going to be attending anyway (they are on vacation). I don't have vacation days in my policies for parents. NO.
DCD asked me if I didn't mind keeping dcb until 7 tonight, as he has an apt after work. I straight face quoted him $70 ($5/15 minutes after his 5:30 contracted time and $1/minute after 6). Dcb will be picked up on time.
Not to mention we have the cooties and everyone was trying to request special "forgot drs note" "no fever since last night" "cough is better with cough medicine so he could come if I gave him..."
The kids are all amazing though! :
