I am such a dork....I could not stand up for myself if my life depended on it. Even when things happen outside of daycare I still don't.

I have this vision that some day one of the parents will find the exact hot button and you will reign down on him 5 years worth of rage... I almost pity whomever that person will be. ::::

About 10 yrs ago a parent put her finger to her lips as if to ssssh me at pick up.She then gestured to her child to come along got in her car and left.I was shocked. The next week a letter went out to all the parents ...no cell phone use at drop off or pick-up/They were told to finish their call before coming to the house and if they were late the late charge would apply.I have enforced the rule and it has been listed in the policies ever since.I was so livid. I would have to say something to that parent if it was me now.

both of my asst that are here read this and they died laughing. they said that I am so calm and too nice to everyone......................they told me that someone could punch me in the face and I will still try to see the positive side of things...

I'm the same way. I just make myself do something and hurry and do it and walk away and try to forget.

Once, I had a dcm who "forgot" to pay. The next day dcb didn't come, so no payment again and then the next day he didn't come. Dh was mad that I didn't call dcm on Mon. so I hurriedly wrote out a text, hyperventilated, then said "1 2 3" and pushed send. My heart was pounding.. She never called/texted back, but showed up with payment that night (claimed she didn't get the text until then). Dh answered the door and was very short and sarcastic with her-something I could never do, but had to laugh.

I have toughened up a little....a little.

I dont have a problem telling anyone to pay me or things that are routine. But for someone to come out of the blue to say somthing like this was shocking to me and I didn't know what to say.

Hmmph. How rude! I would have pulled out instruments for the kids and started singing the song that never ends.
