Time off! Thankfully I follow the school district's time off so I get more time off than probably most. I don't think I could keep doing this job (with my current group of kids) without some time off!

I miss the 8-5 days or even when I just did 7-5. Maybe one day I can change it back.

I am really worn out right now with the 53.5 (open at 7:15 instead of 7 now) hr weeks, the parents, and an infant of my own. This too shall pass...

I go home and walk the dog. It's my veg out time before I start dinner. However, for the first fifteen minutes of the dog's walk I talk to her like I'm still at dc: "stay out of the mud, please" and " no! You can't eat something off the ground!"

I rearrange. Or look at why the parents are making me grumpy.

But usually I give my space and toys a good shake up and that fixes a lot of it.

Or if I find something the parents are doing that is causing the burn out, I try to fix it.
