Bah! I Don't Like Surprises!

Holy smokes! I just had a DCM of a 1yo pop in to drop off diapers and wipes. I was not expecting her, but door was open for 2 that haven't arrived yet, and I was messing around on the forum here while the kids do morning center play, so totally taken by surprise! I was freaking out because her son was asleep in the pnp RIGHT THERE, and I thought she'd be mad. He stayed home sick yesterday (a cold, they said), DCD told me he couldn't sleep (due to coughing and congestion), and was nodding off while I fed him breakfast, so I just put him down. But I thought she'd be peeved when she sees me on the laptop, and her kid is asleep at 9am, when he normally does just one afternoon nap. He is tired and a total snot fest, so, yes, I am taking the easy way out.

But, we chatted for a minute, she DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE HIM. Didn't look for him, didn't ask about him, made no comment about him whatsoever. :confused::: Lucky me!

Totally agree. I had one sleep almost all day last week the day he returned after several out sick. I kept him because Mom is having a rough go right now and it was freezing so we couldn't go outside anyway. Mom was very happy he was able to sleep off the rest of his sickness when I told her.
