My last dck just left and OMG am I relieved! I think this has been the longest week ever! And yes those last couple hours are killer on Friday! The behaviors were all weird today too! I have a dcb2, normally very passive, when mom walked in and said hi to him he told her to shut up, loudly in her face! She didn't say much, so I reprimanded him, the whole time thinking "YAY ITS FRIDAYYYYYY!"

.....admit that my mind stopped working long before now and simply do whatever is necessary to not look at the clock.

Fridays are painful but the afternoon is the WORST! ::

:: :: I used to like my name but after doing child care for awhile now, I don't like the sound of it anymore.

Maybe it sounds different coming from an adult but I definitely know what you mean. ::

It's only 2 here... Still mid-nap and before the big guys come home from school so I'm attempting to relax a little even though I have a million things to do. My feet already hurt and I still have at least 8hrs left of my day We have baseball tonight and I'm either going to miss DS' first game or bring 2 DCKs plus my wild 2yr old with me.

"Um, um, um, Miss [me]? Um...."

I'm passing the time lately by cleaning as much as I can. And starting laundry, changing my family's sheets during naptime, that kind of thing. The stuff I used to leave for Saturday and Sunday.

              But still....it's tedious.

I do table top activities from after snack @3:30-5:30/close. I do paperwork, grocery lists and ask them about activities for next week to finalize my plans, etc

And there's no sound like the glorious silence that falls as the door shuts on the last kid of the day...

That's what I do. Try to get all my "weekend" chores (mopping floors, allll the laundry, wiping down nap mats, deep cleaning the bathroom) done before the last kid is picked up on Fridays. Mostly during nap, afternoon snack and quiet activity after. It helps a bit.

And I save Parenthood on my dvr for Friday at naptime so I can relax a bit.

This past Friday all my parents picked up between 4:53 PM and 4:59 PM. I watched the clock @ 4:20 PM after I did the departure refresh.

                          1. Last potty line
                          2. Last diaper change unless the room becomes ripe.
                          3. Face & neck wipe down
                          4. Lotion
                          5. Lint brush
                          6. Shoes on
                          7. Diaper bag line up

I survived. But the last 39 minutes was H*LL.
