Got A Kick Out Of This CL Ad :)

I need a Grandma with a backbone! My 11-year-old daughter needs care from 3pm-6pm Monday through Friday while I work. She has been being taken care of by her own Grandmother but she takes complete advantage of her. She's just the kind of kid who listens to strangers better than anyone else--I am sure you can relate. I prefer an older female as this is what she is use to and besides, with age comes wisdom.
Let me know if you're interested; pay is great!

    Sounds like the ideal family.

Heck yeah! A parent that actually WANTS their child disciplined?! I'd take it in a heartbeat!

Kind of sounds like a Tyler Perry/Medea movie in the making, a sassy grandma taking care of a manipulative preteen and eventually the teen changes her ways...

That looks like a trap/set up from 'To Catch A Predator'.

                    I know, that's what I was thinking
kids that age would love to have the house to themselves alone with the fridge, tv, etc.

Heck, my mom was out way longer than that and I was always home by myself when I was 11 (she worked nights at Denny's) and I lived in a dangerous town but wasn't really scared unless I watched a scary movie too close to night, usually when I was freaking out it was because she wasn't home when she said she would be home and I was afraid that she was in a car accident on her way home (sometimes I still have those panic attacks when she works late).

                        Guilt trips!

Don't you hate it when parents try to make you feel guilty?!! So I'm pregnant and we haven't told anybody yet. I have had complications in the past so my dr suggested a first trimester u/s. I tried to conveniently schedule it by asking dcm what works best for her. In the end I had to schedule my appt later that what my dr wanted because I waited to check with dcm first. Now I'm getting a guilt trip because she can't take a Monday off blah blah blah. I wouldn't be surprised if my pregnancy turns into a huge inconvenience for HER. I get these short 1 word text replies from her whenever I say something she doesn't like. I guess I should have known better. I have known dcm for years and never really cared for her! I was actually considering telling her what the situation was in hope that she would understand but why should I have to justify my actions to her?!!!
