Hiring my own daughter to help during the summer

Hi there, This summer I have a lot of my school aged kids coming back. That leaves me with quite a few kids in different age groups.
Has anyone here ever hired their own kids to help and how much would you pay them?

I hire my own DD on occasion.

I've hired her before she was 18 and afterwards.

There are different rules for each.

Here is an article by Tom Copeland about hiring family members.

Love that article. My daughter got her first aid and CPR certs and she will be my helper again this summer. Last summer I didn't think of a few of these things on mr. Copelands list so I'm glad I have it for this year.

However, her job responsibilities are more attune to her age. She's 11. However, there are many hints she can do, and she loves the spending money. It's great responsibility. And I also had all moms sign off to what HER responsibilities are and they sign they agree and/or aware of what she does.

My dcf are very supportive and I go over this at interview and they meet her. I also have my husband as emergency backup and I schedule all of my dr appointments during nap time because I love having him around pmsl!!
