Throwing a Pity Party! Who Wants In?

    This week ALONE-
Our electric company informed us they 'forgot' to read our meter, for the YEAR and sent us a $1010.44 bill, due next week or we are shut off. *ETA* (in addition to the $340 monthly payments I have made) They are SUPPOSED TO do an actual meter read every 3 months and adjust my budget. Never happened. GIANT 'clean up' bill.

Gas is separate, budgeted around $175/m. My house is not even that big. *sigh*

I had my program information stolen by a local provider that is an acquaintance. She went insane, posted a HORRIBLE ad on craigslist about me with my home address mapped, and then called the police department. ON ME. My hands are tied unless I want to pay $2000 for a civil attorney retainer.

My son (with HFA) was kicked out of his program for drawing a star wars cartoon with a gun. Second warning, no thirds. We are putting him into a private, special needs school. His tuition agreement form came in the mail yesterday, and the total makes me want to cry. It will certainly extend my working years. Unless I somehow find a way to stop sleeping and provide 24 hour care. It also means I have to reduce the classes I am taking for my degree.

The only time the school can do the intake meeting and tour for DS to start is on the Friday I planned ahead 3 months ago to take off, for my birthday (and some ME time!). Dh bought me an entire spa day package. I cant go. There are no refunds.

The school just called and my DS had a fever, sore throat after lunch. Oh, by the way, 8 kids in his classroom have strep. Dh is bringing him straight from the school to the pediatrician for a throat swab. He has also had bronchitis twice in the last few months, 2 double ear infections and HE WAS ON ANTIBIOTICS LAST WEEK. My poor baby.

Potty trained kid pooped his pants. Didn't say anything. They are track pants, leaked through. I smell poo everywhere now.

Dh's business is doing so poorly right now he has decided to go look for subcontracting work.

I was informed this morning by a weeping dcm at a drop in random pick up, that dcm was let go from her job due to downsizing (removed an entire location). Long term, amazing clients. They are going to try to work it out. Even if her entire unemployment check goes to me until she finds another job.

    At least it's Friday, right?!

    There, I feel better!

Is it wrong that I am jealous of your $1010.44 electric bill for the YEAR?? That is barely 3 months for me....

I am sorry your week has been so awful!!

Have a drink or a big bowl of ice cream tonight!

Can the electric co set you up on some payment plan? I mean, it was kinda their fault.

The dcm who lost her job-hopefully she will find something soon. Wonder if it's the same corp that let go of like 500 some people here? I know they are letting go all over the US. One of my dcm's department was affected-90% let go. Thankfully, she was not one of them, but it's only a matter of time. I think she began looking elsewhere awhile ago, but not much out there.

 It's Friday and only a few hours lefthappyface

              OMG

              They can do that

I have budget billing too and that is supposed to be a contract. You are handling this so much better than I would be.

As far as the Craigslist ad, the IP address can be traced to her computer & I'm pretty sure that's a criminal offense. It's also a libel issue & you can do a Pro Se small claims case against her if you don't want to use an attorney for bigger bucks.

The other stuff, walk away from it.., it's done. Now go read The Secret. Positive thoughts gets positive results.

Yes, they CAN do that! I pushed a boundary and asked a dcm to ask her brother (works for the company). Yes, they do it ALL THE TIME. The MOST they will do is make a payment arrangement for the difference. I don't want the additional $100/m for the next 10 months they offered (especially with ds's tuition payments due monthly), so we are just going to pay it off. UGH!

Does it make you feel any better to know that you just made me appreciate my own life right now? Wow! I'm sorry you're going through all of that -all at once! If the old adage, "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger" is true, you're going to be one very strong woman!

I may PM you, if you don't mind me doing so. I feel like you are the Queen of Court at daycare.com.

Dh can't replace my spa day (next day off they are closed) but he is taking me to dinner tonight. Chin up!

try to focus on the things you do have. You have home, your health and people who love you.... I know it sounds like there is a lot going on right now,but this is all temporary and it will pass.

I just lost my niece of brain cancer two weeks ago and her year long battle was the most unreal thing I have ever seen. Despite knowing she was going to die, every day this little girl had a smile in her face. Tubes coming out of her head, chest and nose, still the biggest smile ever.............

I try to remember that when I am having a bad day. Things could be worse..........

Hugs to you for having to go through all of this.....................:hug:
