You know there's something going around when the kids get to have chocolate cupcakes for a birthday treat (ONLY happens on birthdays, and it's only cupcakes if the parents bring them in), and nobody eats more than a couple bites.

I had a child with a nasty cough on Friday and it's even worse today. (Bad enough that I would have brought my own kids to get checked for bronchitis.) Dcm is a nurse and says her kids are quite resilient but yet they have had colds for the entire 2 months that they have been here and were both sent home recently with other issues. I think this family is going to keep me on my toes and have issues when I put out my handbook with an "updated" illness policy. I feel taken advantage of and don't appreciate all the unnecessary germs being brought in.
