they need your EIN number or if you do not have one ( get one it takes 5 minutes) your SS# . They also may be wanting what they paid for the year to save them time. You do not HAVE to give the total tothem but it is good business practice.

If you do not have an EIN then you can apply for one online or use your social security number (not suggested).
Btw, I use Minute Menu Kids and it has an option to print off W-10 forms for each parent in the accounting section (I think you need pro for this feature though). Just thinking about the future.
I give them a W-10 with the total noted. I also have them sign a letter acknowledging they’ve received W-10 with EIN # and total amount in childcare fees I received the previous year. I have them initial the amount and sign at the bottom.
