Today, I felt Like a Provider Because...

    1. at one time I had a pacifier, a train, and a wipe in my pocket

    2. Had all five children out in the snow under the gorgeous sun while I heard several of my neighbors' young children shout "..but they're outside!"

    3. In 30 minutes, I was able to finish making lunch, set up one inspection, print one security background check, answer a parent's availability question (answer was no), sign one in, sign one out, and set up for early development visit for tomorrow.

    4. I fed them, washed them, changed and had them on their mats with the kitchen cleaned and loaded

I deserve my naptime coffee and thin mints today!!

    How about you?

    Oooh thin mints!!
I feel like a provider because:
    1) it's only Wednesday and I'm dog tired already.
    2) all the backs of my kitchen chairs have crud stuck on them, despite the fact I wipe them off after every meal
    3) I know recipes like playdoh and goop by heart.

I had to immediately term a parent for not complying with the conditions of the letter she signed just last week.

I worked 12 hours, went to class for 2, cooked dinner for my family at nap, and my laundry and house still managed to be cleaned somewhere in between.

I simultaneously called the gas and electric company and did circle time. Yes, I made THEM wait while I finished our last song. No I have no shame.

I got about a million hugs.

There was paint on my forehead, bright orange, until 8pm when the girl sitting next to me asked if I painted with the kids today. Thanks for telling me when I left hubby!

        1. I have said "I love you too" about a thousand times this week.....and it is only Wed. Morning

        2. All of my daycare children walk around saying "eww, that's nasty" (this is my quote for anything disgusting that the dck's seem to continuously be licking, eating off the floor, picking their noses......I didn't even realize I said it that often until they all started saying it, including exceptionally smart 16 month old "nathty" it is soon cute.

        3. During "free play" yesterday all 2.5-4.5 year olds followed me around saying "but I don't want to play Dia, I wanna do my learning" (abcmouse)

        4. I feel the need to tell people that I have went from 5/7 children in diapers to 2/7 in the last month and I am PROUD....and exhausted.

          I felt like a provider because I;

          1. accommodated an early drop off and a later pick up...making for one long day

          2. got a 1.5 yr old to say a phrase we've been working for months now

          3. assisted 7 preschoolers in getting their winter gear on/off 3x in one day

          4. rushed to my evening ECE class that I am co-teaching (made it 4 minutes before beginning of class)

          5. completed 2 student assessments while sitting on the couch watching TV with DH

..... woke up happy and ready to do it all over again today! happyface
