I am starting a 2.5 year old next week. Her hours are going to be from 6:30 am to 3. She has never been away from mom. Next week the mom will not be working but we wanted to start to transition her here before she officially goes to work.. Im looking for tips, ideas, anything I can do to help me. I have never had to transition before. I always get babies, or kids that have been in care their whole life so it really hasn't been an issue. Thanks

I will possibly have a transition issue as well. I am meeting with a family for drop-in care and the 2 children have never been to daycare. I'm not sure how well it will work considering they will not be here consistently. I envision lots of separation issues/crying each and every time......
It could very well be me who is crying!
