At the risk of sparking a huge debate (which is not my intention at all), being "a nice religious family" (not picking on any one religion) doesn't necessarily mean that they are what they appear to be. Abuser are never obvious and often are the people you least suspect; after all, no one in their right mind would admit if they do something that is frowned upon by society. I had new dcg tell me yesterday that she "went to the doctor and he gave her a shot in her pee pee with a noodle"

All I said when mom showed up was that I needed to speak with her about something and had the child been to the doctor recently....mom immediately knew what I was talking about and clarified the situation.
