I'm Doing It! Thank You Ladies!

After reading a previous post, rereading my post about disrespectful family, calculating that I watch dck 56 hrs a week and get $1.60 an hour, thinking about how miserable mother is, and how I really don't like the parents I am terming the "mean" family.
I have been holding out for new dck to start and he has. I have been dragging my feet for a few weeks now. I don't want the drama and hassle that will come with the term letter. I dread it and will probably loose sleep over it. I am hoping dcd doesn't open the letter in front of me. But, something has got to give. I'm over it. Over the crap, over the exhaustion.

    Thank you ladies!! Again!

Pretend like they didn't pay you for the week and you won't feel so poorly. ::
The problem family tension that goes away will be felt immediately after they are no longer attending.

...as he is just about ready to head out the door, AFTER children are dressed and ready to go.... say'

"DCD; here (handing over letter in a sealed envelop) this is for you. Please read this when you get home and call me if you have any questions. It's not something I want to discuss in front of the daycare children. Thank you."

The curiosity of what it could be also tends to hurry them out the door and then he is free to read it any time after the door is shut.

I did it!! DCM followed my requests and communicated through email. She was upset, and felt it unfair. I did give them two weeks notice, and required they pay for those two weeks first thing Monday morning. They opted to not bring dcg back. I feel so much better! Its amazing!!! And I had a call Saturday, a family is needing care for their child. So they have an interview on Wednesday. happyface

of course it isn't fair. Neither is it fair for you to be mistreated.

Good luck on your interview! happyface

good for you! 56 hours is just too much for any person to be working, no wonder you are miserable and then add in parents that are disrespectful and it is too much. you did the right thing.
