I Feel Snarky

My parents' are usually good. But this week, man!

1. I termed a child for hitting. Happening since September. Parents kept saying "i know, I know". Of course as soon as I term its "oh well this other kid is hitting, blah blah blah"

2. parents bring in pt boy in underwear. has never went pee on the potty. and he is eating fruit chewies....that are going all over my floor.....less than five feet from the now crawling infant.

3. ex parent begs me for care. don't have it. begs again. don't have it. ask for tax statement. you will get it this week. two days later, i really need the tax statement. Remember all those weekly receipts I gave you? That is your proof.

4. parent says "woops i forgot the check because they only let me work two days this week" bring it tonight or there are late fees. still hasn't shown up.

All different kids. Have the planets aligned in a way I am unaware of? I know this is more of a vent. but it is Friday night, I have no plans and I want to relax but I can't stop thinking about the parents. Forget everything else, get out of my head so I can enjoy my weekend!

Maybe it's the weather. I have not let anything slide this week. We have not been able to get outside because of wind chills, low temps or massive amounts of snow coming down and blowing all over.

I'm snarky, too! I sent a kid home for behavior, enforced the 24 hour no return rule. Found out dcm is shopping around for daycare and told her this morning that I was aware of it, and reminded her about the two week notice (staring at me with a gaping mouth, stuttering a backtracked half-a%%%% apology).

Dcg came in saying her head hurt. I told her Dad to stay, took her temp and sent her home. 99.9. Dad was miffed but I dodged a bullet, dcm texted me that she threw up on the way home.

Dcm that has sent me a text 3x this week that she will be a few minutes late was NOT 1-5 minutes late last night but 10 minutes. I gave her a notice at pickup that late fees are due today in cash, that I had been nice to waive the other fees, etc. She showed up without cash. I sent her back out for it. WITH dcb. THEN she showed up after breakfast (40 minutes to go to the ATM?) and dcb had a donut. I told her he had to go to the car to finish it and handed her a wet wipe.

There was a full moon, but last I heard the legend says it makes werewolves and crazies come out, not a-holes. (scuse the French)

Must be the week. I told a parent if she didn't start taking her child's behavior seriously she would have to find new daycare. 2 school age dck lost their ipod's due to behavior issues.

Just had a parent text me to make sure I took her kid outside today. We haven't been out all week due to dangerous wind chills and her kid doesn't even have boots here today. (also still too cold to go outside).

I am not even responding.

Thanks for the support. New moon, full moon, planets whatever it was it is gone. I literally saw all four families today.

1. Waved and smiled to family I termed in store, they did the same

2. Talked family with pt boy. While we didn't talk about issues, it was nice talking casually after I had to essentially scold them.

3. talked to mom bugging me for care and told her I understand how frustrated she is. There extremely limited reliable child care available in our area at the moment.

4. parents paid tuition with late fee. no questions asked and a nice light conversation.

I might have lost my Friday night, but I saved my Saturday!!

I worked with preschool thurs and fri and thought that was my issue but after reading this thread maybe not. I was the mean teacher and by the afternoon there was very few toy choices! If we can't get along or run with toys they go away! What a week! Yeah for weekends!

It must be the weather! I was also mean teacher this week and removed all the toys from the playroom. My kids seem to have completely forgotten how to clean up!!!
