State Literature Postings?

Hi Everyone

So recently I have been getting loads of stuff from govt organization, such as anti-bullying posters, etc. Also have been receiving immunization charts, flu charts etc from State- Where on earth am I supposed to hang all of this stuff? LOL Anyone else have these things show up and be expected to hang them up in your home? Today I received an entire box from the EPA with coloring books, posters, and stickers. Last week I got a box from Colgate with 50 toothbrushes and toothpaste samples plus posters they want me to put up.

I get the Colgate ones every year. NO idea what I am suppose to do with that many toothbrushes so I mostly distribute them to all the daycares in my area.

I take the posters and things I get and photocopy them and print them out smaller and then hang them up on the parent board according to the time of year. The flu and illness ones goes up in the winter months and the healthy eating ones go up during our nutrition unit....etc.

Sometimes I make small copies and just hand them out to the parents for take home info.

I think it is ALOT of stuff but I guess I would rather get a lot of stuff and sort through what I need than get nothing at all...kwim?

I'm not sure how I get them? They just show up. Most of it is from State, what I can tell you can order a Classroom Kit for Dental Health Month in February from Colgate for free...

But it is signing up for 2015

However, I never ordered it. I think my State (Texas) orders stuff on our behalf, I'm not certain. Also got an anti-bullying "Bully Free Begins With Me" stuff today ....... no idea where that came from either.

Yeah, the 2-3 yr olds can read them and share the info with their families.

I've never signed up for anything on purpose either but I still get tons of stuff.

The Colgate toothbrush thing was a program called "Bright Smiles" and something I did sign up for back in the late 90ies....

I don't know if they are still doing it or not as the link I have says they discontinued the program a year or so ago...

I think we talked about this on the forum a while back.

I will search for the thread and see if I can find out some info for signing up with them....

I signed up for 2015. I am also in Texas and would like to be part of the anti bully. I watch a few problematic children and bullying is not tolerated.
