Sometimes You Just Have To Laugh

I have a dcd that I absolutely adore. He's a great guy and dad. Always keeps kiddo home on his day off (he's a nurse so works most weekends) and our parenting styles are very similar.

Last Friday 3yo dcg had an accident during naptime, a very rare occurrence, thankfully. So I sent her home in her spare clothes. Text dad this morning (he kept her home yesterday) to remind him to bring spare clothes. He did but he brought a short sleeve tshirt and shorts! It is Texas and we have mild winter but still, shorts?! I had to call him on it and he said he would bring more appropriate ones tomorrow.

Dads are so clueless sometimes. I have a dcg with a single dad. Her hair in the morning is THE cutest. I taught him a basic pony and then how to part for pig tails, had to re-do dcg's bun yesterday so he could see how I did it, etc. BUT, her clothes NEVER match, and he does odd stuff, like thick stockings and capris. ::

Yup! Dark hair, freckles and all! Dcd was like "She has these pants that fit in the waist but they're short. Are they dress pants? I don't know. I put stockings on her, too." ::

I heard this from dcm. They have a just turned 2 yo who has been saying pee and poop a lot lately so they bought a potty chair. Dcd asked if it came with the water already in it.(like toilets LOLOL) I had to really laugh at that one because he asked in all seriousness. I find it very charmingly funny.
